10:00-10:30 am Ribbon Cutting (To dedicate the Grissom Center)
10:30 am – 12:00 pm Tour the Museum (Includes book signing with George Leopold and Jerry Ross)
12:00-1:00 p.m. Lunch Break
1:00 – 2:00 p.m. Flight Director Rob Kelso speaks
2:00 p.m. – Open Ended: Panel Discussion (Panel to include astronauts Charles Walker, Richard Richards, Linda Godwin, Thomas Akers and Jerry Ross, as well as Shuttle Flight Director Rob Kelso. Author George Leopold, and Public Television Celebrity Janet Ivey)
Distinguished guests also include: Lowell and Scott Grissom – the family to which the Grissom Center is dedicated.
- Please note that cvhildren of ages 5 and under may attend free of charge. However, depending on event attendance, children in this age group may be asked to sit on their guardian’s lap during the panel discussion.
Upon arrival at the Grissom Center, you will be given a map to the two venues the event will be hosted at. You will also exchange your Eventbrite ticket for a wristband, as well as an “anytime ticket.” The wristband will grant you access to all the day’s events, and the “anytime ticket” is provided for your convenience and can be utilized the day of the event or any day after if you’d prefer to tour the museum with less of a crowd.
Lastly, the wristband will also give you access to a FREE lunch provided by the Samaritan Lodge. There will other vendors available on site to provide variety, but these vendors will be at your cost.
For Museum Attendees Only
Upon arrival at the Grissom Center you will ne able to buy an “anytime ticket.” The ticket will give you access to a tour of the museum. This can be utilized the day of the event or any day after if you’d prefer to tour the museum with less of a crowd. The cost will be $5 fot students (6 and older) and $8 for adults.
Autographs will be available on the second floor of the HERITAGE FALL between 10:30 am and 12 Noon.
In order to raise funds for the ongoing mission of the museum our dignitaries have chosen to waive their normal signing fees and will sign your personal item for $5. You may also purchase a signed photo for $10. All proceeds support the museum.
